How to Get to the music fest

Walk, ride your bike, or take public transportation.  All are a great way to easily get to the festival.  Though the streets of downtown will be closed for the festival there is also on-street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods.

The Metra Union Pacific North line drops you off right in the middle of the festival at the Winnetka Station.  Check the schedule for train times

Bike trails - Winnetka is located on the Green Bay Bike trail which stretches from Chicago up to Lake Forest.  Enjoy a beautiful ride on the trail, exit at the Winnetka train station and then check your bike at the bike corral right at the Metra Station.  Enjoy the music.

Purple Line and PACE - Take the Purple line to the Wilmette station and then hop on the 213 PACE bus right to the downtown Winnetka

Driving directions from the north:  Take either Sheridan Road or I94 south.  From Sheridan Road simply turn right at Elm Street, drive four blocks and you'll find the music.  If you're taking I94, exit at Tower Road.  Head back east over the highway and drive 1.75 miles to Green Bay Road.  Turn south and drive until you find the music

Driving directions from the south: Take either Sheridan Road or I94 north.  From Sheridan Road simply turn left at Elm Street, drive four blocks and enjoy the music.  If you're taking I94, exit east at Willow Road.  Drive 1.5 miles and turn north on Birch Street.   Depending on the time that you arrive you may find the best parking on the street in the 4 blocks surrounding this area. Its then just a short walk to north to the music.

Where to park in the Village  -  Winnetka is a walking community and all venues are within the 5 block square downtown area focused on Elm Street.  If you do plan to drive there are several parking lots as well as on-street parking.  Lots are located at Elm Street just east of Maple, and on the corner of Elm and Chestnut and Spruce just east of Birch.  Click here for more information on parking
