The Winnetka Music festival features the newest emerging artists (29 stage performances for 2019) on two main stages, a smaller "chapel" stage, a family stage and this year we also have "Acoustic Cafés" throughout the town of Winnetka, Illinois.

This year we are adding two new video walls. They will be used to IMAG live performances — capturing the artists’ performances and making them visible on a large screen to the side of our stage(s) — they will also be used to display pre-made content reels throughout the fest. The live content will be handled by our festival staging company, but during times when the performers are not live on stage, we intend to run a variety of pre-roll content including but not limited to: footage from earlier concerts, video from earlier in the day or the prior day, still and video sponsor (ad) content, still and video content from the bands that are playing at the fest, bands upcoming information about what stage they are playing on, information about food vendors, and more.

We are looking for someone to create this pre-roll content. Ideally, we are looking for applicants that have experience producing content or are working toward doing so professionally, with graphic art capabilities a plus. This person would be responsible to create pre-roll content by working with the festival leadership to learn our ideas and requirements, respond with a proposed plan, and have the capability and desire to then create/assemble the content described above into creative and high quality content reels of different durations. The person would also be offered the opportunity to work with our sound and stage crew on the days of the event to manage the interspersion of this content together with our live content on the video board.

This job is largely being targeted toward current college students and artists looking to expand their portfolio in content production.

A small monetary stipend will be provided but the main compensation would be the ability to work in this energetic and entrepreneurial music-based environment, to create a work product that would be added to your portfolio, and to secure a reference on the basis of that work product.

  • Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite

  • Some previous content production experience

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment

  • Good oral and visual communication skills.

  • Ability to work with a team
